GIVING BACK

The Love♡Shine♡Play Festival places high value on giving back, and we are honored to support our community in the following way.

Light A Path is an area nonprofit 501c3 that believes connection creates resilience. Working with youth-at-risk, the incarcerated, the unhoused and people in recovery, Light A Path connects service-minded yoga teachers, somatic therapists and body workers to populations with limited access to holistic resources. With more than 30 volunteers working out in the community, Light A Path continues to grow, 100% volunteer driven.”

We are proud to offer a special group of individuals full and single day scholarships to the festival. We will have applications open for nominations in March. If you believe someone you know deserves to attend on scholarship be sure to nominate them!

End your festival experience by giving back to the community that you've received so much from. Chelsey Korus will be leading a river cleanup in collaboration with Asheville Greenworks on the majestic French Broad River to close the festival.

Our belief is that an event like ours should be open, accessible and safe for EVERYbody. We stand behind our efforts to provide a container where courageous conversations can take place and where people can practice with teachers who remind them of themselves. We also understand that people of color have not been equally represented in yoga space across the US. The Umoja Lounge is a space for our presenters and attendees of color to connect and reflect on their experiences at the festival and beyond in the wellness world. This space was created in collaboration with Kennae Miller of Transformation Yoga SC.
